Mirwin Civil engineering & building contractors Ltd undertakes a range of repairs and maintenance works to Public highways and commercial and domestic properties, we recognise our duty to ensure as far as reasonably viable, the Health, Safety and welfare at work of all our employees and others who may be affected by the work activities we undertake.

We are fully dedicated to our legal obligations and will strive to achieve Health & safety best practice in all work activities we undertake.

Mirwin civil engineering & building contractors ltd are committed to creating a safe working environment and will comply with all relevant health and safety legislation and industry best practice applicable.

The methods implemented by Mirwin Civil engineering & Building contractors to achieve a safe and healthy workplace and workforce, are outlined in our Health and safety management system which addresses the following matters.

·          All employees recognize their responsibilities

·          Provide adequate information, instruction and training to ensure their competence

·          Provide and maintain suitable and sufficient risk assessments and safe systems of working for all work activities

·          Safe plant machinery, equipment and work places are provided and maintained

·          Adequate resources are provided to monitor, supervise and control the implementation of the Health and safety policy and work activities

·          The policy is under continuous review and is updated to ensure its currency with company practice and compliance with Health and Safety  legislation

·          Setting Key performance indicator targets for our health and safety performance.

The Managing Director has primary responsibility for the implementation of this policy

The commitment to the Health and Safety Policy will be communicated to all employees through Induction, toolbox talks, risk assessment and safe working procedures.
